Question by gracie_lou717: Can problem with a cars wheel bearing just happen?
My wheel bearing is bad and i’v let it get worse over time cuz i dont hav the cash to fix it… i wanna say something to me dad but i dont want him to know its been bad for so long. so could the problem of bad wheel bearing just occur at different levels of badness?

Not really…If you keep laying off then Dad will have to buy a spindle.I know if my daughter started to have problems with her car..I would like to know about it asap.The cost goes up steeply when hard parts need replacing.Don’t drive it ,it is unsafe.Tell Dad right now.

Question by Mallah Sharif: What may happen to my front wheel bearing?
i have just changed cb joint coz it had sound and sort of worn out. after just few days of the changed cb joint i found another sound. i went to mechanic he said that the wheel bearing is worn and needs changing. i am bit confused whether the cb joint while fixing, due to mechanics fault, gets worn. is there any relation between cb joint fixing and bearing worn out?

It is possible the bearing was damaged when the mechanic removed the cv axle joint but more than likely it was bad from the axle and with the new one (axle) installed it was the only noise you can hear now. Or the bearing could have been what damaged the axle joint from vibration.
